Oak and Orange

Oak and Orange marked the first year the orange tree we brought from our old home finally thrived, offering an abundant harvest in its setting among ancient, massive oaks. North Florida is a rich ecosystem, subtropical home to everything from palms, pines and prairie grasses to the sanctuaries that are the great oak hammocks. This little book celebrates this corner of the world and its special joys for children. I enjoyed bringing in old postcards - and the vibrancy of orange!
